The AAPP works hard to establish and maintain strong working relationships with post-secondary institutions to ensure the curriculum offered provides high quality training that supports membership with the AAPP.
The AAPP also recognizes the significant differences between a legal assistant (Legal Support Professional) and paralegals. As such, and in acknowledgement of the advancements being made within post-secondary educational programs within the Province of Alberta, the AAPP has confirmed the following post-secondary institutions provide the standard of education currently needed to meet the requirements of a Legal Support Professional membership with the AAPP:

Equivalencies
As the differentiation between legal assistants and paralegals in Alberta is established, the AAPP acknowledges the necessity for equivalencies to be considered.
